I am very excited about this friday. This friday will be the first show in a long time I am truly excited about going to. Now don’t get me wrong…I’ve been to many shows recently that were fun. I’ve seen many talented bands and enjoyed their music thoroughly. However, this friday is the Get Up Kids reunion show at the Troubadour.
They did one show a few weeks back in Kansas City, and according to their post on their website, they played Something to Write Home About straight through. Rumor has it, they will be doing the same for this show. All I can say is, anything will be greatly appreciated and enjoyed (unless they only play Guilt Show or whatever songs they came out with after Something to Write Home about!)
Another Rumor I heard (which I am hoping is true..but have a feeling isn’t) is that Reggie and the Full Effect will be opening up for them old school style…meaning James with the rest of the band backing him, not with other backup musicians.
In any case, it’s gonna be a fun show, and if you can finagle tickets somehow, you should go! I’ll be there. You can say hi. We can exchange awkward hellos. It’ll be amazing.
